Retail · Independent shop

Working capital to refit a high-street shop.

CASE 02
Merchant
[Merchant name]
Sector
Independent retail
Products
Business funding · Card machines
Result
£[X]k facility · [Y] months to repay

The problem

[Merchant name] is an independent retailer on a busy high street. They wanted to refit the shop floor and add a new till point but didn't want to take on a long-term bank loan or put up personal security. They had strong card revenue and consistent monthly takings.

What we did

  • Pulled together [Y] months of card statements to support an application
  • Introduced them to a revenue-based funding provider for an indicative offer within 48 hours
  • Arranged a £[X]k advance, repaid as a small percentage of daily card takings
  • Upgraded the shop's card machines at the same time so reporting matched the funder's expectations

The result

Funds landed in the business account within [Z] working days. The refurb completed without a fixed monthly repayment hanging over quieter weeks. They've since taken a top-up to add a second register, which we set up in under a fortnight.
