One person, one practice.

Pritchard & Co is a single-person independent practice. I'm Jamie Pritchard — most people call me JP — and I've spent over a decade in UK payments. The clients are mostly hospitality first: pubs, restaurants, cafés, hotels and bars, with a steady set of independent retailers and online sellers alongside.

I'm an official Dojo partner, and I introduce business funding through trusted partners on a non-advised basis. The product set is deliberately narrow — card machines, bookings, funding, rewards — because those are the four things that actually move the needle for a typical hospitality operator.

How I work

Most clients come from a recommendation, a phone call that didn't feel like a sales call, or a Google search after seeing my name on something. I'm not a call centre, I'm not selling to a quota, and I'm not chasing the next merchant I'll never speak to again.

I'd rather get you the right thing once and have you tell three other operators than churn through introductions.

Why independent matters

The big providers all have employee sales teams. Those teams sell one product line. As an independent partner I sit on the outside, look at the whole Dojo product range, and have no internal target on any single line. If something I sell isn't a fit, I'll say so — and I'll happily lose the deal.

The credentials bit

Ten-plus years in the payments industry working with small and mid-sized merchants. I've sat through every flavour of merchant statement and seen every flavour of bad contract. I know what good looks like, and what's just a flashy front page.

Outside of work

Based in Sintra with the family. Coffee, slow weekends, and an unreasonable amount of admin. UK-wide remote means I'm easy to reach during UK office hours and happy to do a video call any day of the week.
