Cut transaction costs and stopped chasing settlement.
The problem
[Merchant name] runs three independent gastropubs across [region]. They were on a legacy card processor with three-day settlement, two different POS systems and a paper bookings diary that didn't talk to anything else. Weekend covers were being lost to no-shows, and the finance manager spent half of Monday reconciling card takings against the till.
What we did
- Audited their existing terminals, fees and settlement times across all three sites
- Moved card machines to Dojo with next-day settlement (including weekends)
- Added Dojo Bookings with deposits on peak slots and an online widget on each site's website
- Set up a single point of contact for support across all locations
The result
Transaction costs dropped by roughly [X]% on a like-for-like basis. Settlement landed the next working day, which freed up working capital for stock orders. No-shows fell by about [Y]% once deposits were taken on Friday and Saturday bookings. Weekly reconciliation went from a half-day job to under an hour.
